Thursday Treads: So long Englishtown, NVE2 clips
Welcome to Thursday Treads! I'll be posting some old hidden gems that I may or may not have shared before. This week there's 3!
2012 NHRA Summernationals Highlights
If you haven't already heard, Englishtown Raceway Park is shutting down it's drag racing operations as of yesterday and the quarter mile portion of the facility is due to become a glorified junk yard. Many of us are pretty upset about the abrupt end to the legendary track that has hosted racers young and old. Unfortunately, all we can do now is remember the glory days of burnt rubber and nitro methane.
1Flatout1's Competition Blue Viper GTD
Two years ago we had the 2nd Annual National Viper Event. It was a blast and close to 500 Vipers showed up for the near week long party. New Orleans played as the host city and it was a blast. Andy Wheeler, Performance Division Director at Viper Exchange, took me for a ride in his former Viper Exchange/Arrow Racing prepared Competition Blue Viper 'GTD' around NOLA Motorsports Park. This car literally went and pulled a 9 second quarter mile pass no more than two weeks before and it was by far the loudest and fastest Viper I had ever been in.
Bryan Tackles the Autocross
While I can't figure out why, I never uploaded these two runs of Bryan driving his Viper TA around the autocross course at NOLA either. But you can see them now! Sorry buddy. :)
